Syllabus

  • The foundations of health coaching
    • Welcome to this first module of the course! In this module,you will be learning about what health coaching is and what makes this approach so important in our current healthcare context.  
  • Health coaching skills
    • Welcome to Module 2. In Module 1 you learned about the principles of health coachingand what makes this approach so important in our current healthcare context. In this module you will explore key health coaching skills that you can use to make your interactions with patients more person-centred, empowering them to meet the health and wellbeing goals they have set for themselves. 
  • The process of health coaching
    • Hello again and welcome to Module 3. In Modules 1 and 2 you explored some key principles and skills in health coaching and how these relate to a person-centred approach in healthcare interactions. In this module you will learn about how to structure your conversations to support your patients more effectively to move forward and work towards achieving their goals.
  • Integrating coaching skills within healthcare consultations
    • Welcome back to this fourth and final module of the course. In this module you will learn about how the core principles and skills of health coaching approaches that you have learned about so far can be applied with a wide spectrum of patients and health-related situations to support health behaviour change, even when time is limited.
