Explore the present and future legal challenges posed by data and AI

In 2020, digital data drives our economy and artificial intelligence (AI) is becoming an increasing part of our everyday lives.

On this three-week course, you’ll be introduced to the legal concepts that underpin the internet economy and the potential liability of various online platforms.

The course will teach you how to structure your legal analysis of issues relating to personal data and digital intellectual property as a legal professional.

You’ll also discover the challenges that new technologies present to the legal profession and what future laws we may need.

This course is designed for postgraduate students with an interest in both law and technology.

It will be of interest to both qualified lawyers and those recently completing their qualifications who want an understanding of the key legal concepts underpinning the technologies of the fourth industrial revolution.

It will also be useful for developers, technologists, engineers and other professionals with digital expertise who want to understand the laws relevant to their areas.
