秦朝灭亡，西楚霸王项羽和汉王刘邦争夺天下，刘邦拜韩信为元帅，联合各路诸侯攻打项羽，将项羽陷入孤立无援的境地。

After the end of the Qin Dynasty, Xiang Yu, the overlord of Western Chu, and Liu Bang, the king of Han, fought for control of the kingdom. Liu Bang, with Han Xin as his marshal, attacked Xiang Yu and left Xiang Yu isolated and helpless.

项羽骁勇无敌，与刘邦鏖(áo)战多年，几乎战无不胜，攻无不克，此刻见大势不妙，却也只好坚守驻地，等候援兵，同时寻求突围的机会。

Known for his resourcefulness, Han Xin sent his advisor Li Zuoche to Chu Camp to pretend to surrender, while everywhere Posting a call to arms and abuse Xiang Yu, hoping to provoke Xiang Yu to send troops and the Han army decisive battle.
